What or where is your focus?

What do you consider?
What do you think about?
What “words” are coming
Out of your mouth?
How do you determine
Your actions?

Are you spiritual?
Or are you worldly?

Are you living for yourself?
Or are you living for God?

Have you ever thought
About it?

“My son,
give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart
from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst
of your heart;
For they are life
to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.”
(Proverbs 4:20 – 22)

“This Book of the Law
shall not depart
from your mouth,
but you shall meditate
in it day and night,
that you may observe
to do according to
all that is written in it.
For then you will make
your way prosperous,
and then you will
have good success.”
(Joshua 1:8)

Yesterday I was focusing
On our “heart”
The seat of our emotions

Not the “pump”
That keeps us alive
But rather the figurative
“Heart” that is the centre
Of our relationship
With God – Father, Son
And Holy Spirit…

I spoke about how we
Influence our “heart”
By the things that we say
(Romans 10:8)

“My heart is overflowing
with a good theme;
I recite my composition
concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen
of a ready writer.”
(Psalm 45:1)

“My tongue is the pen
of a ready writer.”

My tongue, your tongue
Is what we use to SPEAK

God IS the “ready writer”

Or perhaps, I should say
God WANTS to be OUR
“Ready writer”

When we SPEAK godly words
He IS our “ready writer”
Writing good things
On our heart…

However, He has nothing to do
With the words that we speak
When they are NOT godly…

Those “words” have an
Entirely different source…

So I ask you again…
Or at least ask you to consider:

Are you spiritual?
Or are you worldly?

Are you living for yourself?
Or are you living for God?

The words that we speak
Are a pretty good indication…

And even though we all
Could do better…
There should be enough
Evidence in our speech
To be a testimony to Him…

When you look back at
Proverbs 4:20 – 22
And Joshua 1:8

You will find reasons
For speaking godly:
“For they are life
to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.”

And…
“For then you will make
your way prosperous,
and then you will
have good success.”

Life, health, prosperity
And being a good success
Surely are things that we
All hope for…

Thankfully God
Has already given us
The answer to finding
These things…
