Think about that for a moment…
WHAT do YOU give VALUE to?
Things…
People…
Yourself…
Jesus…
God…
The Bible…
A significant other in your life?
One of the ways to help you find out
Is to think about what you focus on
“Then Jesus went out and
departed from the temple,
and His disciples came up
to show Him the buildings
of the temple.”
(Matthew 24:1)
The Disciples “valued” the temple
As they wanted to show Jesus
The buildings of the temple
Maybe they were impressed with
The architecture…
“And Jesus said to them,
“Do you not see all these things?
Assuredly, I say to you,
not one stone shall be left
here upon another,
that shall not be thrown down.””
(Matthew 24:2)
Regardless of WHEN Jesus was
Predicting the destruction
Of the temple…
Nothing, in this life, will last…
Everything will pass away
As important as the temple was
God who dwelt in the temple
Was far more important…
Even the Bible is important
But unless we know God:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit…
It’s just a book…
So do you KNOW Him…
And do you VALUE Him…?
Now obviously we all can
Value Him more than we do…
But does He have the highest place
Of VALUE in our lives…?
Or do we just “visit with Him”
Once in a while…
When we have nothing better to do?
