We face many struggles…

We do (people generally and Christians in particular)
Face many struggles
But most of them are within…
Within our minds, our thoughts
And our emotions

Occasionally we have to deal with real physical issues
But we are usually well able and capable
To deal with those
We so often easily rise to the challenge

But the struggles within
Are a different matter
They, so often, are the secret attacks
That ONLY we are aware of
Even if we share them…
It is hard, almost impossible
To adequately share what is going on
Inside oneself…

“Let not your heart be troubled;
you believe in God,
believe also in Me.”
(John 14:1)

“bringing every thought into captivity
to the obedience of Christ”
(2 Corinthians 10:5)

These scriptures and others like them
Give us the biblical, godly answer
And “YES” it IS the truth

But at times, in the midst of the attack
Or thoughts, it is often quite
Difficult to do what you know
You should do…

The good news, though, is that
As we mature in our faith
The time we spend in self-pity
And the like, decreases in both
Intensity and length of time

Or, the more time we spend with Him
And grow in our relationship with Him
In both our knowing and understanding
Of Him
These “bad and wrong reactions”
Are more short-lived!

The “light at the end of the tunnel”
Is not as far away
As when we first started our walk with Him

Take heart and be of good cheer
God is with us
He is NOT against us
