The Word became flesh

“And the Word became flesh
and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.”
(John 1:14)

How can this be?

How did this happen?

READ Luke 1:26 – 38

God sent the angel Gabriel
To Mary:
“Rejoice, highly favored one,
the Lord is with you;
blessed are you
among women!”
(Luke 1:28)

“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favour
with God. And behold,
you will conceive
in your womb
and bring forth a Son,
and shall call His name Jesus.
He will be great,
and will be called the
Son of the Highest;
and the Lord God
will give Him
the throne of His father David.
And He will reign over the
house of Jacob forever,
and of His kingdom
there will be no end.”
(Luke 1:30 – 33)

The angel spoke the WORD
The WORD that became flesh
JESUS…

And Mary’s response was:
“How can this be,
since I do not know a man?”
(Luke 1:34)

How can this be?

But please NOTE…
The angel spoke the WORD

“faith comes by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.”
(Romans 10:17)

Mary is still in awe and wonder
She has asked a “normal” question
How can this be?

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Highest
will overshadow you”
(Luke 1:35)

The angel Gabriel explains
The process…

Then Mary said,
“Behold the maidservant of the Lord!
Let it be to me according to your word.”
(Luke 1:38)

All of what I have shared
Is nothing new…
We have heard it all before

And yet…
How can this be?

I believe the Word spoken
By the angel Gabriel
Was and is the SEED
That was used to bring
About the conception in Mary

When Mary believed…
The Holy Spirit was able
To use the Word (seed) spoken
With the power of the Highest
To bring about the conception

God as Trinity:
Father – Highest
Son – Word
Holy Spirit
Was able to conceive
With Mary when she believed…

“faith comes by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.”
(Romans 10:17)

Without Mary’s acceptance
By faith in the Word spoken
By the angel Gabriel…
Nothing would have happened

Thankfully Mary believed
And received…
“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given”
(Isaiah 9:6)

And the rest as they say…
Is History!
