The Weapons of our Warfare are NOT Carnal – Part 1

“For though we walk in the flesh,
we do not war according to the flesh.”
(2 Corinthians 10:3)

We all are human – flesh and blood
But we are made up of more than simply “flesh and blood”
We have emotions and feelings
We have intellect and senses:
See, taste, hear, smell and feel
We have a personality and indeed are all different – unique

And yet most of us will naturally
Try and sort out our problems in our own strength
Even as Christians, as believers
We tend not to turn to God FIRST
Until we have renewed our minds
And discovered who we are in Him

Our senses, so often, are what can cause us so many problems
The eyes are said to be the windows to the soul
Yet we are often slow to monitor what they take in
We are aroused by what we look at
Or perhaps shocked too

It is said that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”
So control what you look at
Images can bring peace and love
They can also bring fear and dread
We can feel anxious, sad or glad
ALL by what we SEE

God put Adam and Eve into a Garden
A place of peace, joy and love
We were never designed to be fearful
For God knows the damage it can cause
