The Sower and John 10:10

“The thief does not come
except to steal,
and to kill,
and to destroy.
I have come that
they may have life,
and that they may
have it more abundantly.”
(John 10:10)

I was just looking at Mark 4
This morning…
And started to think
About John 10:10

I asked this question in
“Same seed, different soil”:
“What kind or type of soil
Are YOU?”

But as I looked at WHAT
Happened to the SEED
In each case…
I SAW this…

“some seed fell by the wayside;
and the birds of the air came
and devoured it”
(Mark 4:4)

“The thief does not come
except to steal”
(John 10:10)

The “seed” was “stolen away”

“But when the sun was up
it was scorched,
and because it had no root
it withered away.”
(Mark 4:6)

“and to kill”
(John 10:10)

The “seed” DIED

“the thorns grew up
and choked it,
and it yielded no crop”
(Mark 4:7)

“and to destroy”
(John 10:10)

The “seed” was stopped
From completing its work
It was “destroyed”

“But other seed fell on
good ground
and yielded a crop
that sprang up,
increased and produced:
some thirtyfold,
some sixty,
and some a hundred.”
(Mark 4:8)

“I have come that
they may have life,
and that they may
have it more abundantly.”
(John 10:10)

Please notice…
The enemy, the thief
The devil…
ONLY comes for
Negative purposes

To KILL
To STEAL
To DESTROY

No FRUIT
No GROWTH
TERMINAL

Jesus, however, comes
To bring LIFE…

And LIFE in ABUNDANCE
Thirty, sixty, hundredfold

Why would anyone
NOT want or wish to be
GOOD SOIL?
