God does not want anything FROM us
Yet has provided everything FOR us

By His Word
He enables us to live this life
Everything that we need
Is found in and through the Bible
“His divine power has given to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness,
through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue”
(2 Peter 1:3)
When Jairus was told his daughter was dead
Jesus heard and said to him in Luke 8:50
“Do not be afraid, ONLY believe…”
When the rich young ruler came to Jesus, saying
“What shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
(Luke 18:18)
He went away sad for he could not BELIEVE
And yet the Philippian jailer
Who had just been on the point of killing himself, said
“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
(Acts 16:30)
And was told: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and you will be saved”
(Acts 16:31)
Why do we find it so difficult to simply believe?
Why are so many people proud and puffed up,
consumed by their own self-importance?
How is it that they are so easily deceived?
The Apostle Paul said that he put everything behind him
And pressed forward for this ONE thing:
“I press toward the goal for the prize
of the upward call of God
IN Christ Jesus”
(Philippians 3:13 – 14)
