I was looking at continuing
With my study of the
Book of Revelation
And so realised I was now
On Chapter 5…
And I read…
“And I saw in the right hand of Him
who sat on the throne a scroll
written inside and on the back,
sealed with seven seals.”
(Revelation 5:1)
And the part that jumped out at me was:
“sealed with seven seals.”
And I immediately thought:
“Why does the Bible place
Such emphasis on a NUMBER?”
Remember that I have said before…
“Pay attention to the details!”
What is the significance
Of the number SEVEN (7)?
There must be a reason
Or it wouldn’t be there…
Instead of saying:
“sealed with seven seals”
Why does it not say
Something like:
A few seals, or
Many seals, or even
Some seals…
It could have said
A multitude of seals…
But the Bible doesn’t say that
The Bible says SEVEN seals…
The answer is that
The number SEVEN represents
PERFECTION
Now to explain this more fully
I am going to use an explanation
Which is about:
IMPERFECTION
Some of the misunderstanding
And “fear” perhaps
Of the Book of Revelation
Has to do with:
“Here is wisdom.
Let him who has understanding
calculate the number of the beast,
for it is the number of a man:
His number is 666.”
(Revelation 13:18)
666 is NOT a GOOD number
Which I believe most people
Agree on…
Please notice that “6”
Is one digit LESS than “7”
Almost perfect…
But not quite
Herein lies the whole problem
That resulted in The Fall
But so as not to get distracted
Let me return to an explanation
Of the number “6”
The number of IMPERFECTION
The language I write in
Is the English Language
And there are 26 letters
In the English alphabet
Jesus was a Jew
And spoke in the Hebrew Language
Which has 22 letters
In its alphabet
If you consider the Psalms
And in particular the longest one
Psalm 119
Which has 150 verses
You will find that it is
Divided into 22 sections
Each section begins
With consecutive letters
Of the Hebrew Language
If it was written in English
It would read:
A, B, C, D, and so on
But in Hebrew it reads:
Aleph
Beth
Gimel
And so on…
Until you get to the 6th section…
SO…
- Aleph
- Beth
- Gimel
- Daleth
- He
- Waw
Now we would probably
Shorten these letters to:
- A
- B
- G
- D
- H
- W
If the number of the beast
From Revelation 13:18
Is “666”?
Does that mean we can write
This as “WWW”?
Or “www.”?
Could we say…
That most people already
Have an association
With the number of the beast?
Email: www.hotmail.co.uk
Google: www.google.com
Now hopefully you have
A better understanding
As to why people struggle
With understanding
The Book of Revelation
Is THIS what “666”
Is referring to?
It seems plausible to me
But perhaps is…
Over simplistic…
Surely there has to be
More to it…
Or am I saying that we all
Are already damned…?
Definitely NOT…
So what then is the meaning
Of this number…?
