More Parables

“Also He said to them,
“Is a lamp brought to be
put under a basket
or under a bed?
Is it not to be
set on a lampstand?” “
(Mark 4:21)

“Then He said to them,
“Take heed what you hear.” “
(Mark 4:24)

“And He said,
“The kingdom of God
is as if a man should scatter
seed on the ground” “
(Mark 4:26)

“Then He said,
“To what shall we liken
the kingdom of God?
Or with what parable
shall we picture it?” “
(Mark 4:30)

“And with many such parables
He spoke the word to them
as they were able to hear it.”
(Mark 4:33)

Jesus was still with a number
Of people and the Disciples

He had just finished explaining
To them the meaning of the
Parable of “The Sower”

Yet He continued to speak
In parables to the people…

However, when He was alone
With the Twelve Disciples…
Jesus explained everything
To them…

“And when they were alone,
He explained all things
to His disciples.”
(Mark 4:34)

So where does that leave us…?

How can we learn the meaning
Of these parables…?

The answer should be obvious
But just in case you haven’t
Realised what it is…

You will need to turn to John
John 16:5 – 15 in particular

“However, when He,
the Spirit of truth, has come,
He will guide you into all truth”
(John 16:13)

As born again Christians…
We HAVE the Spirit of Jesus…
The Holy Spirit WITH us…

Indeed He is living inside us

“Or do you not know
that your body is the temple
of the Holy Spirit
who is in you”
(1 Corinthians 6:19)

As I write these Devotionals
Share them on WhatsApp
And post them on the Web

Everyone who reads them
Will NOT understand them
Because the messages
Are spiritually discerned…

I can explain and talk plainly
But you still need God…
The Holy Spirit to help
You to understand them
Because of what Jesus said:

“However, when He,
the Spirit of truth, has come,
He will guide you
into all truth”
(John 16:13)

That may sound amazing to you
But it is the truth…

Anyone can read the Bible…
Or hear a sermon preached…
Or even be taught what it means

But if they do not have
The Holy Spirit…
They will NOT understand it

“And He said to them,
“To you it has been given to know
the mystery of the kingdom of God;
but to those who are outside,
all things come in parables, so that
‘Seeing they may see
and not perceive,
And hearing they may hear
and not understand;
Lest they should turn,
And their sins be forgiven them.’ ”
(Mark 4:11 – 12)
