Matthew Chapter 5 to 7

Chapter 4 finished with:
“Great multitudes followed Him
—from Galilee, and from Decapolis,
Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.”
(Matthew 4:25)

“And seeing the multitudes,
He went up on a mountain,
and when He was seated
His disciples came to Him.
Then He opened His mouth
and taught them, saying:”
(Matthew 5:1 – 2)

From the vantage of being seated
On the mountain

22 topics that Jesus taught the multitude

Each of these I and many others
Have preached on
And taught about
And instructed people in

And yet Jesus spoke these words
To those who were listening
As Matthew has recorded them

These Devotionals have come as a result
Of a sermon I preached recently
Where I was challenging everyone
To read the four Gospels

The point being to find out
More about Jesus

The 22 points or topics
Are titles in my Bible App

Simply reading the topic titles
Tells us so much about what
Jesus was saying

Go and read these three chapters
And let His words speak to you

Maybe even spend some time
In these three chapters alone

Take a break
And meditate on His teaching here
Let Jesus through His words
Minister to you
And change you
