John 14 verses 25 to 26

“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in My name,
He will teach you all things,
and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
(John 14:25 – 26)

There is a phrase, a saying:
“Say what you mean
And mean what you say”

Or to put it another way:
“If you don’t mean it,
Don’t say it”

READ what Jesus says in these two verses
Then think about what He just said…

Hopefully you will have noticed:
“These things”
AND
“All things”

To me this implies that the Holy Spirit
Has MORE to share than what Jesus said
While with the Disciples

Now before anyone starts getting all theological
And condemning me for saying what I see
Remember what Jesus said in verse 12…
“Most assuredly, I say to you,
he who believes in Me,
the works that I do he will do also;
and greater works than these he will do,
because I go to My Father.”
(John 14:12)

Now remember…
The Holy Spirit is the third part of the Trinity
The Holy Spirit IS God
The Spirit of Jesus

“These things” that Jesus refers to
May be ALL that He said and did
While on the earth
With the Disciples

“All things” may then refer to
Everything contained in the entire Bible
Not just the four Gospels

And it is the Holy Spirit
Who draws out “All things” about Jesus
In the Bible as a whole
He (the Holy Spirit) leads us into ALL truth

So don’t limit Jesus to what you read
In the Gospels
But rather realise that He not only
Is IN the entire Bible
But that the Bible IS Jesus…

“In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.”
(John 1;1)
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us”
(John 1:14)

The Bible is described and known as
The Word of God – Jesus

And it is the Holy Spirit
Who will lead you into ALL truth
About “All things”
And will bring to your remembrance
“All things” that Jesus said to His Disciples
