he will keep My word;
We DO NOT keep His Word
In order for Him to LOVE us
Keeping His Word
Does NOT give us any advantage
BUT because WE DO love Him
WE WILL keep His Word
And yet…
There will be many, many people
Who will MISS
What I am trying to say here…
We READ and SEE and HEAR
What we WANT to believe
Because we come to the Bible
With so many preconceived ideas
It MEANS this
Because of what my church (denomination) teaches
I have always thought like that
It’s the way my family thinks…
Jesus explains this so well when He said:
“making the word of God of no effect
through your tradition which you have handed down.”
(Mark 7:13)
People do not let the Bible
Get in the way of what they already think
Their “tradition” is far more important
Than TRUTH
So when you read this passage
Or any passage
Do so prayerfully
Submitted to Him and His ways
Let the Holy Spirit bring the Word
Alive to you
And let it (the Bible) change you
NOT you change it (the Bible)
To what you want it to say
