“And I will pray the Father,
and He will give you another Helper,
that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth,
whom the world cannot receive,
because it neither sees Him nor knows Him;
but you know Him,
for He dwells with you and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans;
I will come to you.”
(John 14:16 – 18)
Jesus says:
“I will not leave you orphans;
I will come to you.”
(John 14:18)
I will come to you…SOON?
Come…back for you, at My 2nd coming…?
What did He mean…?
Why use the picture of “orphans”?
Jesus was NOT their Father
And yet He had said earlier, in this chapter
If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father
Could it be, that once again,
Jesus is talking about the Trinity
He could have said:
I will come to you by My Holy Spirit
But He didn’t
Rather He said – I will come to you
So He did come
By the Holy Spirit
Who dwells within us
And if you receive the Holy Spirit
You are receiving Jesus too
As well as the Father
For there is ONLY one God
