“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me,
the works that I do he will do also;
and greater works than these he will do,
because I go to My Father.”
(John 14:12)
Why, why, why…
Do we have such difficulty in reading English?
Or why are we so impatient when we read?
Why is it that we can’t wait to get to
The “Punch-Line”?
To get to the “MAIN Event”?
Most people who mention this verse
Talk about the “greater works”…
It’s nearly like they are looking for an excuse
To DO NOTHING…!?
How can we possibly do GREATER works
Than JESUS…!?
Sound familiar?
Or is it just me?
I don’t think so
I think the reality is that people prefer
To Do and RISK NOTHING
FEAR overtakes them, numbs them
Neutralises them, freezes them
But we have not been given a spirit of FEAR
But of power and of love and a sound mind
(2 Timothy 1:7)
Let’s determine to concentrate on doing
The same as Jesus did:
Preach the Gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons
Lay hands on the sick, raise the dead
Freely we have received, freely give
WHY?
Because we say that we believe in Him
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me,
the works that I do he will do also;”
(John 14:12)
