"In the beginning..." (John 1:1) "In the beginning..." (Genesis 1:1) One written by Moses A man mightily used by God The other... By a man who was a Disciple The Disciple whom Jesus loved "Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved." (John 13:23) "Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved" (John 21:20) The man who wrote this... Was THAT man... JOHN In Genesis 1:1 it continues "In the beginning God..." Whereas in John 1:1 it is "In the beginning was the Word..." And when we read on in John "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14) In the beginning The very beginning Of creation... God existed And the Word existed And they were ONE and the SAME My point is that It ALL started In the BEGINNING And WE were NOT in the beginning But ONLY God was... ONLY the Word was... ONLY Jesus was... Since Jesus = the Word = God So we need to "wise up" To the FACT That Salvation has EVERYTHING To do with God It has almost NOTHING To do with us (I say "almost" since we Need to RESPOND) And indeed EVERYONE Does RESPOND Some positively By accepting the Love That God has for us... The rest negatively By rejecting the Love That God has for them... And in so doing... They reject God Himself And do NOT receive Salvation Nor do they gain From the benefits of Salvation... One benefit being Life with God forever in heaven When they DIE...
