“And as they went to tell His disciples,
behold, Jesus met them, saying,
“Rejoice!”
So they came and held Him
by the feet and worshiped Him”
(Matthew 28:9)
Many times God calls us
To obey Him
And often we think about it…
We weigh up the cost…
Consider the pro’s and con’s…
And then…some of us…obey Him
THEN and usually ONLY then…
Do we experience Him…
Now we know that He is
Always with us…
But when we do His bidding
There is a tangible experience
Of His presence with us…
Almost like when He came
To the women at the tomb
On that first Easter morning
As they went to tell the Disciples
Just as the angel had directed them
We too can “sense” His presence
With us…
His pleasure in trusting Him
And obeying Him…
For just as we know that He
Is always with us…
He walks along beside us
To help us as we do the thing
That He has given us to do
“Take My yoke upon you…
For My yoke is easy and
My burden is light”
(Matthew 11:29 – 30)
